Who Is?

I, Rolando Gomez, am a professional photographer, author of five photography books on photographing women, writer, philosoblogger™, webmaster, etc., but all that matters on this website, is that you know, I’m a photographer of women with over 30-years of experience. I’ve photographed women from American Idol (Amy Davis), Playboy, a New York Times Best Selling author (Lisa Klyepas), state beauty pageant queens, Senators (think Clinton), judges, lawyers, doctors, and the list goes on.

Much of my photography, when not for publication, consists of “private glamour” photography of women who made the investment of having photographs created to cherish throughout their lives, though privately, but yet not pictures worthy of shoe box storage.

Welcome to POW, Photographer of Women, my website dedicated to those interested in my photography of women. While I’m known for my photographs of women, I’m also a photographer of celebrity, fashion, glamour, nude, commercial, advertising, plus others, though my roots are photojournalism.

It’s my photojournalism background that my mentor, iconic photographer Robert Farber, told me I interject into all my photographs, thus giving me an edge, as photojournalism is about telling a story–in the case of photography of women, their story.
